Asteveryn - Cornish Music and Dance

 

For many years now, since our evolution into Asteveryn, we have been continually asked, "Have you a CD of your music?" Whilst over the years we resisted the temptation to go to a recording studio - in the midst of our very busy schedule and an already overwhelming commitment to group activities - it is very clear that it now seems to be 'the thing to do'. Consequently, we decided to 'join the club' and commenced the task of deciding on what music and all else that goes with such a project.

We decided against mixing the dance music with what may be classified as session/listening music and the project was split into two. The first music CD, therefore, is simply 'session/listening' music with a proposed follow-up music CD that would focus on the Asteveryn 'dance' music

After many trials and tribulations, this first CD has now been completed and released on St Piran's Day 2006. The CD, of approximately 65 minutes contains 16 tracks and 29 tunes from our repertoire of Cornish music both 'old & new', and which has been given the Asteveryn treatment. At £10-00 per CD (plus p & p), we are sure that you will agree that it is unbeatable value for money, and, possibly, 'The Greatest Cornish Music CD ever!'
